The 37th Annual Conference of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India was held in the cyber capital of India-Bangalore from 26th to 30th November 2002, at Hotel Taj Residency. The Conference was inaugurated by Lt. Governor of Karnataka, Sh. T.N. Chaturvedi and Mr. Veerendra Heggade was the Guest of Honour. The conference was attended by 540 delegates from all over the country. There were many faculty members from abroad including Dr. Ian Taylor, Dr. I. T. Jackson, Dr. J. H. Stevenson, Dr. A.M. Morris, Dr. E. Biemer, Dr. David Elliot, Dr. K. S. Bhangoo and Dr. Niri Niranjan. The Conference was preceded by operative workshops at Manipal Hospital. Workshop featured Cadaveric flap dissection, Breast reduction, Hypospadias surgery, Rhinoplasty, Endoscopic brow lift and Laser surgery. The Conference started with the Charles Pinto CME Programme which was inaugurated by Mr. K. Chandrashekhra, Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health & Medical Sciences, and it had illustrious speakers from India and abroad. On all conference days there was a breakfast seminar conducted by eminent teachers. One of the high points of the meet was the use and demonstration of the state-of-the art Apple PCs and Notebooks. The evenings were lively and entertaining.
