The 35th Annual Conference of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India was held at Hotel Clark's Shiraz Agra from 16th to 19th October '2000. It was inaugurated by Dr. Sheema Rizvi ( Min. of State for Health, Govt. of U.P. ) . The conference was very well attend with 428 registered delegates from all over the country. There were 8 invited speakers from abroad,including Mr. I.T. Jackson, Mr. Gabriel Osorno, Mr. David Furnas, Dr. Edgar Biemer, Mr. Moris Topaz, Mr. Kulwant S. Bhangoo, Mr. Muni Gowda, Dr. Nasir and Mr. R.T. Manktelow. Mr. David Furnas was the Godrej visiting Professor. The Charles Pinto CME with theme, "How do I do it", was inaugurated by Prof. C.R. Sunderajan. The conference was preceeded by an operative surgery workshop on Ear Reconstruction by Mr. Gabriel Osorno (Colombia ) and Mr. David Furnas. A 'Hands on' workshop was held for the first time in the country to practice cartilage carving. 120 delegates participated in the workshop. Dr. P.K. Bilwani was elected President for Year 2001 and Dr. Sadashiv Murthy was elected Vice president. It was a rich feast of food, friendship , fellowship and scientific celiberations.
